This tool consolidates pertinent information about the main travel requirements of our destinations, for reference purposes. Although updated regularly, the information may be incomplete and hence not sufficiently accurate. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure compliance with all travel requirements by regularly checking the relevant government websites for the latest information. FAQ

  • To modify or cancel your reservation, please access your file via the Manage my Booking online tool. If you booked with a travel agent, contact them instead.

    For a flight:

    If you booked a flight before December 1, 2021, you can change your travel dates or destination—or both—at no cost up to 24 hours before departure. Only the fare difference, if any, will apply.

    You can also choose to cancel your trip, with the following conditions:

    • Flights in Eco Budget, Eco Standard and Club Standard: You will receive a future travel credit.
    • Flights in Eco Flex and Club Flex: No cancellation fee.

    If you booked a flight on or after December 1, 2021, please refer to our Economy Class and Club Class fare options for full details on the change and cancellation terms and conditions according to your destination.


    For a package:

    If you booked a package, change and cancellation terms and conditions vary depending on the date you made your reservation and the flexibility option you selected at the time of purchase.

    Important:
    If the price for the new travel date, destination or hotel is higher, you will be required to pay the difference.
    If the booking is for a group of 10 people or more, the terms and conditions of the flexibility policy may differ. Please contact our Groups department or your travel agent.

  • Before you travel, it’s important that you check the entry requirements of your destination country and the measures to follow. Make sure to familiarize yourself with all requirements and comply with them. The website of the International Air Transport Association is also a reliable source of information.

  • A self-service feature has been added at the payment step of your online booking, allowing you to apply your travel credit to a new reservation.

    Please note that for new bookings made on our website, a travel credit is only valid for the type of product for which it was issued. For example, a travel credit issued in the context of a package cancellation can only be used to book a new package; a travel credit issued in the context of a flight cancellation can only be used to book a new flight.

    • If you wish to apply your credit a new package reservation:
      • Complete your booking on www.transat.com;
      • Enter the eight-digit travel credit number in the space provided at the time of payment and the amount will be automatically applied to the new package reservation;
      • Read the detailed instructions on how to use a package credit.
    • If you wish to apply your credit to a new flight reservation:
      • Complete your booking on www.airtransat.com;
      • Enter the six-digit alphanumeric travel credit code in the space provided at the time of payment and the amount will be automatically applied to the new flight reservation;

    • If you booked a flight or package with a travel agent or on a website other than www.transat.com or www.airtransat.com:
      • Contact the travel agency you originally booked with and indicate your intention to apply a travel credit to your new flight or package booking. Also have your original booking number on hand.
    • No. You can use your credit to purchase any product from us, regardless of the destination.
    • No. The travel credit can be used in several instalments, have no expiry date and is fully transferable. If you don’t use the full value of your credit on your new trip, you can use the remaining portion to purchase other products we sell to enhance your trip or even to book another trip.

    Air Transat or the appropriate authorities may deny you boarding if you do not have the required documents, without recourse or possibility of reimbursement. You may also be refused entry into a country even though you have the required travel documents.
