Winter playgrounds in Canada

Here are a few of our favourite things to see and do so you won’t be left out in the cold this winter!
  • Nordic Spas

Chill in the great outdoors, even when it’s cold outside, with a trip to one of the many Nordic spas in Quebec and Ontario. Experience a deep sense of relaxation and eliminate toxins and improve blood circulation with hot-cold cycles. Breathe in the crisp air and admire the magical, frosted landscapes all around as you indulge in a toasty hot tub.
  • Ski and snowboard

Canada is a winter wonderland for powder hounds! Quebec and Ontario boast many ski resorts and the conditions are awesome for hitting the slopes. If you prefer the tranquility of snow-covered woods, cross-country skiing is an accessible way to tour most large nature parks. Blue Mountain in Ontario and Mont Tremblant in Quebec are two of our favourite winter sport resorts.
  • Snowshoeing

Buckle up… snowshoeing is sure to please the whole family! Snowshoeing, once key to the survival of coureurs de bois (runners of the woods), or traditional fur traders, is the perfect modern-day winter sport for discovering Canada’s flora and fauna. There’s nothing more fun after a good snowfall! Several provincial parks rent snowshoes that fit all kinds of boots.
