  • The fare conditions of the original flight apply to your new flight, including cancellation policies and rebooking fees.

    Please note that it is not possible to cancel an upgrade. Confirmed upgrades are non-transferable, non-refundable, and are valid only on the flight and date selected.

  • Not all flights are eligible for an upgrade.

    You will be able to verify eligibility for a Bid Upgrade You will be redirected to a new website. A new window will open. one day after reserving your Economy Class flight and up to 26h before your departure. You will need to enter the booking number and last name in the fields provided.

    If your flight is eligible, you may also purchase an upgrade during your web check-in. When eligible, an upgrade option for your flight will be available during this step.

    Additionally, upgrades are not available for:

    • Codeshare and partnership flights
    • Group bookings
    • Club Class is not available on Airbus A320-200 and A321-200 aircraft
  • Yes, if both segments are eligible for an upgrade, you may purchase an upgrade for each segment individually. A single upgrade purchase will not automatically apply to both segments.
  • You will be able to select seats once the upgrade has been purchased, but we cannot guarantee that adjacent seats will be available.
  • Yes, it is possible to purchase an upgrade when travelling with infants or children.
  • No, each file is independent from the other and you will not both be upgraded if only one has purchased an upgrade. The system cannot make a connection between two separate files.
  • There are two ways in which you can make an upgrade*:

    1. You can place a bid on the upgrade page of our website You will be redirected to a new website. A new window will open. . You will receive an email notification indicating whether or not your bid has been accepted. This option is available, only on select routes, one day after the reservation has been made and remains available up to 26h before departure.

    OR

    2. You can purchase an instant upgrade during your web check-in 24 to 4 hours before your departure.

    Once a flight upgrade has been confirmed, and paid for, it is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • If you choose the instant upgrade option, you will have to pay immediately. If you choose the upgrade bid, you will need to provide payment information when you place your bid, but you will only be charged if your bid is accepted, and you are notified by email approximately 25 hours before your departure.

    Please note, payment will only be accepted by credit card (Amex, Visa, Mastercard).

  • No, an upgrade must be paid for in a single payment, with a single credit card.
  • You will not be able to purchase the upgrade, as a valid credit card is required for this transaction.
  • Yes, your upgrade includes all taxes, fees, and surcharges for an upgrade (where applicable).
  • Several factors are considered when assessing your bid including: the amount of your bid, the number of bids received, and the number of Club Class seats available.
    • If you have purchased an instant upgrade, you will receive a Club Class boarding pass and an email confirming your purchase.
    • If you have made a bid on an upgrade, you will receive an email confirmation that we have received your bid. If your bid is accepted, you will then receive an email confirming the acceptance of your bid and notifying you that we will proceed with the processing of your payment using the credit card information you provided. You will then receive a Club Class boarding pass.
  • No, even if you have been upgraded to Club Class, your flight information on the mobile application, in the "Manage My Booking" section and in your electronic travel documents will not be updated and will continue to show your flight as being in Economy Class. The "Baggage" section will not be updated either but note that Club Class advantages do include two checked bags (23kg each) per person.
  • Yes, you will be able to select seats during your web check-in once the upgrade has been confirmed and paid for.
  • No refund will be issued if you have already purchased any of the following: checked baggage, seat selection, a meal or Option Plus.

  • If you miss a flight, the amount paid for the upgrade is non-refundable.
  • If you are rebooked on an alternate flight by Air Transat due to flight disruptions, you will maintain full rights to a seat in Club Class, if one is available. If there are not enough Club Class seats available, the amount paid for the upgrade will be refunded to the original method of payment.
  • Your upgrade confirmation is subject to seat availability. Please note that this availability may change at any time until boarding. If another passenger purchases the seat at full price, your upgrade may be canceled. In case of cancellation, you will be refunded for your upgrade bid.
