Notice to Passengers: Temporary closure of Liberia-Guanacaste Airport, Costa Rica
Due to runway damage caused by heavy rains associated with Tropical Storm Sara, the Liberia-Guanacaste Airport is temporarily closed until November 21, 2024.
We are actively working to ensure the safe return of all our passengers to Canada within the next 48 hours.
Passengers checked-in on flights TS301 and TS601, originally scheduled to depart on November 17, 2024, will now depart Costa Rica via San José Airport.
Flight Schedule:
- TS301 :
- Initial itinerary: TS301 LIR – YYZ on November 17
- New itinerary: TS301 SJO – YYZ on November 19, Departure at 2:00 PM – Arrival at 8:15 PM
- TS601 :
- Initial itinerary: TS601 LIR – YUL on November 17
- New itinerary: TS601 SJO – YUL on November 19, Departure at 4:00 PM – Arrival at 10:35 PM
Please note that airport check-in will be conducted based on the departure times of the flights. Consequently, check-in for passengers on flight TS301 will be prioritized before that of flight TS601. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Bus Transfers:
Bus transfers have been arranged to take you to San José. Please be at your hotel lobby 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The transfer duration varies between 4 and 6 hours. We encourage you to bring drinks and snacks. Below are the transfer departure times:
- Occidental Tamarindo: 5:00 AM
- Dreams Las Mareas: 5:00 AM
- Mangroove: 5:30 AM
- Coco Beach: 5:30 AM
- Secrets Papagayo: 5:30 AM
- Riu: 5:30 AM
