Stroller gate delivery to replace LIMO! stroller service

Montreal, June 26, 2018 - Air Transat will discontinue the LIMO! stroller service. It will introduce the stroller gate delivery service at certain airports.

This change is meant to better align Air Transat with the competition and to accommodate its travellers. The new service will allow passengers to bring their own strollers to the boarding gate or to the aircraft door. Gate agents will ensure that the strollers are properly tagged, collapsed, well packaged and then checked in. Upon arrival at destination, deplaning passengers will recuperate their strollersat the aircraft door.

Only small, fully collapsible and lightweight strollers may be taken right to the boarding gate and collected at the aircraft door upon deplaning. To qualify, collapsed strollers must not exceed the following dimensions and weight:

  • Depth: 60 cm (23 in)
  • Length: 108 cm (42 in)
  • Weight: 11kg (25 lb)

Large, heavy, non-collapsible double and multi-piece strollers will not be accepted for gate delivery and will be delivered to the baggage carousel (belt for oversized items) at the final destination.

Gate delivery is not permitted by law in certain countries and cities, including Cancun, Punta Cana, Fort Lauderdale, Cuba, Portugal, Spain, Rome, London or on connecting flights. Complimentary strollers will be available on arrival, in Portugal, London and Spain, except in Barcelona. Passengers will still be able to check in their strollers free of charge at the counter and recuperate them at the baggage carousel at destination.
